Horsesh1t at Hayling

Post by JimMillen » Thu Aug 15, 2019 9:44 pm

Nope, not the conditions, literally horse poo on the beach :(

The last few times I've sailed at Hayling there seem to have been piles of it all over the place.

I know it's not as harmful as dog poo but still not very nice. I've managed to avoid getting it on my kit or step in it so far but it feels like only a matter of time...

Anyone else noticed this? Are horsey types using the beach for riding more these days?

Anyway, not much we can do about it I guess, but keep your eyes open!

Pet peeve of mine; where I live there’s heavy fines etc for not picking up your dog’s business on the walkways, but horseriders leave stinking great piles of shit all over the place that in some places make it nigh on impossible to walk over without getting horse shit on your shoes... but there seems to be no restrictions on it??!

I sailed Hayling once and I thought it was a steaming pile of horse sh1t. Seems like someone else agrees.
