Wednesday 7th August
Carats Hove. 2 pm until 6pm give or take, so through high tide. Usual faces. Sails ranged from 4.4 to 5m, beautiful blue skies. But.....it was messy, hard work, waves much too close together. No jumping ramps. My gybe success rate was truly appalling. Some big lumps and I saw some good riding down at Hotpipes..... But consensus was it was disappointing. Shorebreak not too bad so I pushed my luck and relaunched, fortunately with a floatier board. Scored another hour and enjoyed it. Ran out of time and energy. Looking at Weathercam wind was definitely a bit holey, but did hit 30mph. Not a bad one to have missed folks!

RIP & take it easy over the coming days, Saturday in particular (spare mast packed for chunky ~3.5m@9.5s & 58mph).
