Wednesday 3rd of July

Post by Ruaraidh_K257 » Thu Jul 04, 2019 8:09 am

I love Pozo! Had some full power jumping from 11:30 until 3, absolutely stacked on 3.0. Have been trying the backies all day every day and have now started landing them in the right position but I forget to move my back hand back on the landing and can’t control the power once I land! Hopefully will sort that in the next few days.

Hung around at the beach with the other kids until half 5 because my roommates had gone shopping in the big shopping centre out of town and taken the house keys with them! Then got some food and sailed from 6:30 until 10, when the light finally died. It was a “light wind” session for Pozo: I was actually in control on my 3.0 and occasionally pumping! The waves were quite nice but toward the end the wind dropped a lot so it was a bit rubbish.

Having a rest this morning because my hands are destroyed and there’s no shortage of wind for the next few weeks 8-) 8-)

What board are you on Ru? Didn't look like a JP on the webcam!

Didn’t order my new 69l in time so using a rather battered 69l JP R quad from LPWS. It’s the same design as last year’s board just with the older graphics. The silver lining to it being a well used board is that the paint is extremely chipped so I don’t need to worry about damaging a new board’s paint on the rocks  8-)

Turns like a dream too!

Yes and no... my feet are covered in scrapes and bruises and the rocks are taking their toll, but I hate wearing the boots while sailing so have been using a duck tape to cover the worst cuts and that works fine!
