Anybody using this?
I'm thinking of using it... but then most of the time I sail alone but perhaps wouldn't bother with company.

I have read about it, but would not want to put my phone in a waterproof cover as I don't trust them (if that is the way you would plan to use it).
I also have a PLB which I think is more appropriate for the times I think my windsurfing is a bit risky (sailing alone in a gusty cross-off with the hopefully remote possibility of kit failure). Think I have only used it once for windsurfing, it is more for boat sailing.

No I wasn’t planning to take the phone to sea. Just use the feature that SMS’s your contact if you’re more than 30min after your due time.
So just a variation on my current method on telling the wife when I expect to be back.
But it stores your launch point, car reg/make/colour etc so all those details are available to the emergency services if it does come to an emergency.
