Re: Christmas present ideas for windsurfers

I have asked Santa for a new anemometer and some locking roof rack straps.

I know lots of people buy neo beanies and palmless mits for Christmas.

Stepping up in money - rigging jackets last for years.

Re: Hot Sails Maui KS3

Thank you TwoFish The same principles of rigging apply to both the slayer and karma. The main thing with both sails is not to be afraid of not putting enough downhaul on. If you want power leave some rotation in the batten above the boom (and even the one above that on the karma) and don't worry tha...

Re: Hot Sails Maui KS3

I have a 5.2 Witchcraft Slayer you could take away and test. I need to get another demo Witchcraft Karma, but I can organise that so you could try them if you want. The Slayer is softer than the Karma so probably closer to what you are looking for.

Re: What kit are you flying on?

I know some folk who have used nothing on the bolts and had no problems.

Re: What kit are you flying on?

The bolts are supposed to be titanium so I bought some specialist ti grease from a bike shop and used that and it was generally ok. I did leave it about 2 month once before taking it apart and I only just managed to get some of the bolts loose.

Re: What kit are you flying on?

I got on much better with the NP foil when I took the washer off. When I followed the supplied instructions about the washer I found the foil wanted to rise all the time.

Re: What kit are you flying on?

Hi Smidge I had the same sort of issues with the starboard Ftype. I think you want your back foot in line with the front foil bolt. I'm quite happy leaving my back foot out of the strap and I used to sail the starboard most of the time like that. My starboard had those big white plastic washers on t...

What kit are you flying on?

Unlike all the other forums I hope this foiling section can be used for informative chat and not just a load of videos. So I will kick off this thread with the boards I have owned and a short comment on each. JP foil 135 - This is what I learnt on and its a good board, flies early, probably too earl...

Novenove revo 135

I have only used this board a couple of times, there is not a mark on it. They are super expensive boards at 2200€ so this one is a good deal at £1150. It is the 135 2018 pro version so liked by Windsurfing UK magazine. It is reinforced for foiling.

Re: Electrickery & Hybrid vehicles suitable for windsurfing

Someone should come up with a mini wind turbine so that your car charges while you sail. Like the ones you see on yachts.
