Re: Hyundai i800

Good choice Max, my Citroen Dispatch is great. The fuel stats are a bit exaggerated but I got 45.9 mpg driving to Tiree, round the island for a month and back, which is not bad. Fun to drive too.

Jenna Gibson doing really well, you wouldn't want to tangle with her at the gybe mark! Sarah Jackson also right up there. Nice to see some British women at the top.

Re: Wednesday the 11th of September

Avon, 11 to 2. A bit off shore so not much wind on the inside. 4.7 & 66L Moo as usual, well powered up once out to the wind line a some nice small waves if you timed it right. Lots of weed at the shore line and at one point I had mega spinout which I've never had before with my small thruster fins. ...

Re: How was your summer 2019 for windsurfing?

Being retired and able to sail whenever it's windy I've had a pretty good summer. Missed a couple of day due to the sudden appearance of wind and Living in London. August in Tiree was great as usual (no point in arriving before me Ru, it's not allowed to tun on until I arrive!) Sailed at most of the...

Re: Friday 6 Sep

Bracklesham again. I've stopped going to Hayling if it's more westerly than SW as it's chop hell! Bracks was actually quite good, cross on with some nice waves forming on banks to the left of the car park. A bit under powered on 4.7 at first then overpowered by the end. Managing to get some nice on-...

Re: 4th September

Usually when I come back from Tiree I find sailing in shingleshire pretty depressing but today at Bracklesham was pretty good. Wind was cross shore 4.7 for me and sunny with wind blown waves so a bit close together as Dave says. Some fun jumping and short rides on the way in, I had a enjoyable 3 hou...

New shape Citroen Dispatch

I've just got myself a Citroen Dispatch (shed on wheels), I've not seen any used as surf vans so I though I'd post a review. I got the Enterprise model, MWB, 115 BHP, 6 speed which gets the best reviews. It's a 2016 with 60,000 on the clock for £9700. I've driven a T5 & Transit Custom and this is so...

Friday 30th August

Last day on Tiree. Early start at Crossapol as the wind was forecast to drop. I arrived first and rigged 3.4 & Moo 66, wind 18mph on the beach gusting 39 mph! Underpowered on the inside and overpowered outside so it was pretty good for wave riding. It started off on shore but went cross shore as thr...

Thursday 29th August

Brilliant session at Crossapol today. Timed my arrival perfectly, just as the rain stopped, the wind dropped a bit and swung more SW. Ruaraidh and Magnus (12 yrs old!) had been out for an hour on 3.3 & 3.1. Ru switched to 4.7 & I rigged 4.1 & Moo 66. I sailed for two hours without falling in, gettin...
