Re: Sun 16th June

Marroccos 3 until 4.30. Rigged my 6.1 and fortunately opted for the 106. Snuck off the beach more by luck than judgement, zero wind until 200m out. Then a really consistent but not overpowered hour. Changed up to my 7.2 and was flying for a while, but as it clouded over it was dropping. Nothing comp...

Thursday 13th June

Result at last. Proper windy ay Shoreham. Low tide at 2pm I arrived and launched around 3pm. Lots of people on 4.7s which for me usually means a 5.0. Pretty flat but very choppy to start with, but I was reacquainting myself with my Quatro SM. Magic. I was beginning to think I had the wrong board, ha...

Saturday 8th June

Made the call to give it a miss. Knew it would be sailing in survival mode at best for my ability and I will have to live without the t shirt. Gutted really. As compensation got a lift to West Hove....... Sainsburys ...........and had an excellent run along the seafront via Carratts, Hove lagoon and...

Re: Sunday 2nd June onwards

Nah. I'm staying in bed. Too windy for me. Saving myself for another day. Nature's the boss and my back is aching just thinking about it......
Enjoy......

Re: Sunday 2nd June onwards

 Jinxatron 1240 is the paradox where you put your hopes and dreams of windsurfing weather, but have to caveat everything with the "hope I haven't jinxed it". Becomes a problem on a "Looking ahead" section with the inherrent uncertainty. Got bored of typing "jinx". 10 meaningless units awarded t...

Re: Sunday 2nd June onwards

Looks like Met Office called the last two days better than the BBC..........
Anyhow the Met Office are promising Saturday, overstating the wind v the BBC for a change.....
I'm awarding myself 10 units on the all new jinxatron 1240.......I'll let PK flesh that concept out

Re: Monday 3 June

Same as you Hazza Decided to press on west for the allegedly more windy Shoreham. Nope. Launched on the 106 with a 7.2 and for a while things seemed okay. Even felt smug briefly......And then I didn't violently object to losing a groyne each inside gybe, as long as I was planning, and much of the ti...

Re: Sunday 2nd June

Was not too motivated by what I could see outside, finally the sun poked out and I thought now is the time. Took my 8.5 and trusty old F2 Xantos (133l). One nice little run followed by sweet nothing. The Skunkatron 6000 defines this sesh as 1.5. Cost 1.5 miles of diesel and a pound to park. Fair eno...

Sunday 2nd June onwards

BBC give a cracking forecast for Sunday for Hove. Met Office give sweet nothing. Big discrepancy.....Lets hope the BBC are right. Monday looks better on the Met Office, and excellent on BBC. (Apologies for the local bias). Bring it on.........
