Friday 7th June 2019

After a few days in north Norfolk, I got lucky with a easterly wind combined with high tide at Wells-next-the-Sea. Good morning session on 6.5 and 110 Firemove, including an encounter with curious seal. Old Hunstanton looks good, but wet, for Saturday morning - but we have to head for home. 54C22622...

Arf

I don’t know if it’s me, but I'm not having any luck trying to post a photo. Still the same error: ‘Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.’

Thursday 16th May

A good day yesterday at Minster. 20+ out in the onshore wind. I got there at 2pm just as the wind was picking up and 5.7 was just right. The ENE wind and the bright afternoon sun produced some interesting sail shadow pics on the GoPro. I tried to attach a pic but got the error message 'Sorry, the bo...

Re: Wednesday 10th April 2019

Very good session at Minster in bright sunshine on FSW and 5.7 with about eight others. For once, I managed to hit the sweet spot of a rising tide an hour after low water, perfect in the northeasterly wind. Out for under an hour thanks to eight degrees and numb fingers.

Re: Maui?

We’ve just got back from two weeks in Maui and are still struggling with the eleven hours jet lag, but it was great trip with wonderful weather. Maui far exceeded my expectations. I never expected to go. I thought it was too far to be worth it for a very average windsurfer like me, but friends invit...

Re: Starting foiling

It doesn’t look as if it is particularly hard to reinforce a Tuttle box with glass or carbon and certainly worth doing if heading offshore(!). The process of replacing a Tuttle box shown in Alex Aguera’s video doesn’t look beyond the bounds of possibility either. It does ensure that the box is secur...

Starting foiling

It feels like now is a good time to try foiling. Windfoiling has been around long enough for kit to be available from major manufacturers including those like Slingshot with extensive experience with foils. Training courses are available and there seems to be enough knowledge about equipment and how...
