Re: WinG foiling?

My 4m Cabrinha wing arrived the other day. I got it because I wanted to try it and see how it felt, try and muck around a bit. (I’m saving for the foil and board now  ) The plan was to learn how to control the wing on a regular SUP so I could learn the foil bit easier, I’m not sure how that’ll ...

Re: Right of way on a wav

The one thing is there was a huge dispute in the Aloha Classic this year about rules of waveriding which almost cost Ricardo Campello his world title (he ended up losing it anyway but that’s beside the point) Apparently Jake Schettewi had been told it was the IWT priority rules for the contest which...

Re: Monday 22 June

Yes I was a little worried about a 3 hour drive to tiree so I felt a little 30 minute test drive would be good. And then I got out the car and walked around a little while holding some windsurfing equipment and went back home.

Re: Monday 22 June

You can travel as long as you like for socially distanced “pro sport” now. I’m not exactly a pro but hey :P

Weirdly the car park at Troon was rammed with kiters. None of them observing social distancing with their mates :o

Monday 22 June

Back on the horse after 3 months off... Fully lit on 4.0 Combat Pro and 79l Wave Slate. Went about halfway down the beach on an optimistic jumping run and then realised there was only chop. Lots of jibes and chop bothering instead. Good three hours of fun which made it the best day of the en...

Re: Hot Sails Maui KS3

Not used a kS3 in a while but thought this was worth posting - I have it from a good friend on HSM team that Kai Lenny has a custom Red Bull colour KS3 and says it’s his favourite sail for waveriding... ever. Kai tested pretty much every sail in the biz intensively at Hookipa before he got his custo...

Re: Wave sails - what's good?

Like Wully says, the problem is a lot of sails should work on paper for what you’re looking for but so much of it comes down to feel and preference. Everything nowadays is built well, similarly priced and all of them are efficient sails. You just have to try some and work out what you like best. The...

Was really cool to meet those guys in Ireland, so humble and incredibly brave. They were just the definition of cool.
