Re: Ford galaxy

I would be surprised (and interested...) if you can find a car that doesnt require front seat to be folded down or slid so far forward as to be unusable. With folding the front seat I guess most larger MPVs (but not necessary Galaxy sized monsters ) that have a fold flat front seat and individually ...

Re: Tryed but didn't get on with it

Rhossy is where I do most of my sailing and like many beeches around the north west and north wales it is very tidal and has rocks that would eat a foil. Even if i had the time and money to invest in foiling I think the logistics of needing deep water make it very difficult. If anything I have been...

Re: Body armour

I now have an ion impact vest. Dont notice it when its on. I use it if i think im going to be trying loops, or conditions are hectic, as it mentally helps me get into the mindset of “no excuses, so get on with it”, will also wear it when its proper cold. However, I have only taken one big hit to my ...

Re: Tryed but didn't get on with it

I can see how people might try and then give up if you have a more racy type foil as the learning curve and crashes are pretty horrific and some of the first gen foils are not so good. When i swapped from my neil pryde pink one to the slingshot infinity 76 it was like night and day. My advice is sim...

Foiling off shore road, poole. 5.7, fully powered. Only others out were kids on techno gear (6.8 and 7.8s probably). Great fun, getting back into it after long break.

Re: 4in1 sup/windfoil/surfoil/windsurf

Finally got chance to use my 4in1 8.0 in windfoil mode with slingshot infinity 76, not having foiled for 2.5 months (its either been proper windy, not windy at all or had other commitments). So i was very very rusty. Also this was first time foiling in choppy open sea: Yesterday i was struggling in ...

Re: Lightweight sailors

I guess there is something going on with board size too that goes beyond the kg body weight versus litres of board equation for really small people. It seems that the really light weight people - especially women - cope with 10-20 litres more than their body weight in horrendous conditions. There is...

Re: Xply (HD) popularity

Im a fan of Xply for all the reasons stated above, but my most recent 2 sail repairs have been full xply panel repairs as if you put enough force on any panel (head or feet travelling at speed...) then its going to fail where the stitching goes in. Also, having experience of horrific amounts of very...

Re: new Sail planning - thoughts / ideas

Without wanting to come across as a Blade fan boy, I have noticed that in the UK Blades have a pretty active second hand market via Facebook and/or ebay, so its not hard to build a quiver of good quality 1 year old second hand sails at sensible prices, or replace one that gets heavily used. For exam...

Re: SUP Foil surfing

Im interested in this too (also got a 4in1) - although I dont think I will ever actually foil sup it as just wave supping it will be a new experience for me (and was main reason i got it)
