Re: Your favourite pic of yourself

Hawaii - Spreckles 2019. Taken by Kevin Pritchard when I was lucky enough to be on the Pritchards' Wave Course. Great waves, blue skies, warm water... just a shame my technique is still so shite!!

Re: will it or won’t it... 2nd June

It did...ish.
Day off so went to Hayling in hope of sea breeze. 3-5pm on Magic Ride118 & 7.4. About 50% planing but nice to get out at last -1st sesh this year after being abroad with work or isolating for previous windy days. A day for the windfoil and wingfoilers... which is very tempting .

Re: First quiver since the 90's. Getting back into the sport. Looking for VERY stable and VERY durable sails.

Likewise I have a 2009 quiver of NP Combat, Search and Excess. All still going strong ( well apart from the 6.2 that I stupidly destroyed at Gwithian). I only sail max 20 times a year but they've been great. For boards I still think a Werner Gigler designed JP is the best for people who learned in t...

Re: Sunday 2 May 2021

I've only paddled up to Kingston a couple of times, though it's on my one of my regular cycling routes. Have you spotted the bloke who dresses up like the Milk Tray man and zooms up and down on his electric foiling board? Yes, many times. There's a pair of them. I think they live in either Half Hau...

Re: Sunday 2 May 2021

I was on a SUP on the Thames this fine morn too. Around Kingston. There’s an old Vinta 370 propped up on a boat there that I saw a bloke trying to paddleboard last summer!

Is that the Super Ride? The reviews I've seen generally recommend it for normal old school blasting and gybing. Anything they have omitted to tell us about it or is it all fine?
Sorry belated answer: It was the 2020 Magic Ride.

Re: Narrow tail board - windfoiling.

I sailed the 93 and 113 in El Medano last week - windsurfing not foiling- and they were both great: plug &play, quick to plane, controllable and much better than the equivalent Fanatic, Severne and RRD boards imho.
