Nice shape to those. A lot of seam shaping going on by the looks of things. Will be interesting to see how they go.

As with my older 5.2 there is a crazy amount of curve in the luff tubes. Mast insertion requires a fair bit of elbow grease. Regarding incorrect rigging numbers, the bag for the 5.5 states 438cm luff requiring a 430 mast. To my relief on the sail was printed 427 luff and this was still 2cm too much. So my 400 mast was fine :phewsmiley:
The numbers on the 4.9 are spot on.

Mine all set best with the leech fairly straight - I don’t bother with the printed settings as I’m not using HSM masts etc.

It took a few goes to get them in the sweet spot for me and it is sweet..... :D

Nice sails!
The 5.5 definitely need a 400 mast.

Used my new 5.5 and 4.9 for the first time in the last couple of weeks. Conditions for the 5.5 were marginal but it appeared to do exactly what I'd hoped, a good amount of subjective extra grunt over my previous biggest 5.2 size with no significant reduction in manoeuvrability. Wind for the 4.9 was full powah and its forward pull was crayzeee!!! Took some getting used to, very different to my previous 4.7 Freak and hoiked me (inadvertently) over the front a few times at first but looking forward now to seeing what more it can offer. Exciting times 8-)

The first time I used a KS3 it was my 5.8 Spider. I’d been using a Tushingham Rock 5.7 as my ‘go to’ sail for a good many years and had not used any other brand of sale for longer than I care to remember.

My first impression of the KS3 was of lightness then when I sheeted in, of grunt.

I was worried that it was be unstable and get blown out of shape when we’ll powered up due to it only having 3 battens but that isn’t the case - I’ve now changed over to a full quiver if KS3’s. Love the lightness, power and ease of manoeuvrability.

(I’ve kept a 6.5 Bolt for foiling though..)

Good to hear you like them. I find that my KSSpider is so close to my UK customs, by Tri - Sails , that I don’t notice any change in handling.
Just curious , maybe I missed it, What mast are you using ?

100% Amex Supersport 430 RDM on the 5.8 Spider.

Tried it with a couple of 100% carbon 400’s but preferred the 430.
