Freestyle Tour leader Amado Vrieswijk was in 12th place in the Slalom Tour and decided to sit out the Fuerteventura Slalom event - Amado style.

Gollito Estredo finished 13th in freestyle in Bonaire, but 7th in waves in POZO. The 9 times World Champion will be a strong contender in Fuerte.

Sarah Quita Offringa leads the women's Freestyle Tour - as usual.

After taking Sarah Quita to a superfinal in the double elimination in Bonaire, Maaike Huvermann may be using some of the wave skills she developed in POZO to hit the start jumping in Fuerte - there are waves and wind forecast for the start of the freestyle event.

12 World Freestyle titles for Sarah Quita Offringa - but Maiike is getting closer each year. Olya Raskina returned after becoming a mum to take 5th place.

Steven Van Broeckhoven won for the first time since 2015 (affected by an ankle injury in between). Yentel Caers made a great comeback run in the Second Elimination, but Steven was the outstanding sailor, producing the highest heat scores of the event.
The World Title will depend on whether there is another Event at Sylt - which seems to be in doubt.
Currently Caers and Schmitt are tied for first place and Vrieswijk and Van Broeckhoven are tied for third - all within 200 points.
