Cornwall Classic 2019

Post by Arf » Wed Oct 30, 2019 1:04 pm

So who's heading down?
I bought an old beater of a van for £500, hoping it gets me across the country.
Forecast is looking mostly W, which isn't good, but at least it looks like plenty of wind and swell..

Wishing I was there this weekend not last. The armchair sailing would have been epic

An okay result in Tiree means I’m out of the ams title race... so instead of Cornwall I’m going to brandon bay... 27foot waves forecast and 53mph, and it’s not an 11 hour drive :D

Swell forecast has dropped a bit and with Mazza and the bluff being quite sheltered it'll probably be doable for normal people. I'd be suffering with flashbacks to the St Judes storm a few years ago when I nearly drowned though so not sure I could be tempted out

Yes, I paniced a bit when I saw the 60 knot 8m forecast the other day.
Hopefully it won't be life threatening, I don't fancy storm chase conditions at all!

As we are not too far away will probably pop down for a look and lend some support, only problem is there is a rugby match to watch first!

yep, swell forecast is up again on saturday! Looks dead W'ly so mazza quite protected but more will get into the bluff. IIRC I think that forecast is bigger than st Judes :o

A good weekend to hide behind the Isle of Wight
