Found stolen kit

Post by martinwindsurf » Mon Oct 07, 2019 1:50 pm

There's a guy called Dave King posted on facebook about having found a van load of kit down a country lane near Bath. He'd like to return it to the owner. Doesn't have access to this site. If you are missing all look him up or I can put you in touch.

I wonder what the rozzers say? Was the van also stolen from the same person?

Apparently he told the police and they weren’t interested. Guessing van stolen and kit dumped.

Weird. You would have thought they would at least recover it and contact the owner of the van.

I don't believe any van has been found DA. Just some (unspecified) kit, up a lane, in circumstances which suggest it may have been hurriedly dumped as an inconvenience.

Ahh, I see what you mean. I just read “van load” and jumped to conclusions.

It is not the first time we have seen kit dumped by thieves, it is just too much effort and risk for them to shift it I guess.

I've seen this - reading the description they give some lengths of the boards at over 2.8m so it may well be old gear and some fly tipping going on. A shame either way i guess.
