Posting images and videos - How To

Post by Arf » Mon Nov 12, 2018 11:46 am

For all options to use BBCodes to insert images and videos from the web (photobucket, vimeo etc), please look up the usage on this page: app.php/help/bbcode

The other thing you can do with images only, is add them as attachments to your post and then if you want them to be visible on your actual post (instead of someone clicking the attachment filename), click the 'place inline' option listed next to the file that you have uploaded, and it can then be inserted into your post.

Hi Arf.

I am guessing there is a max of 3 photos you can load in one post and a total max of data you can load for all your photos?

Hi Ronnie,
It looks like each use can store up to a maximum of 50MB worth of attachments.
Maximum attachments in a post is 3, and max size per attachment is 3MB.

You can of course embed photos hosted on photobucket, and vimeo or youtube videos to get around size limitations.

Thanks Arf!

That actually sounds generous, and resizing the photos didn't lose much practicality. I usually reduce them to 25%.
