Monday 9th Dec

Amazing waves on the Hayling webcam this morning: https://www.cbk-haylingisland.com/webcam/.

Unfortunately it's high tide, very off shore and I can't go today anyway! West Wittering might be good this morning over high although Bracklesham waves do't look as good as Hayling.

Re: Sunday 8 December

11 am at Jolliffe road (Wittering) with several refugees from Hayling. 4.1 & 66L Moo was perfect again, wind increasing and going ballistic for a bit. Quit just before the heavens opened at about 3. The wind was cross on and the waves were bloody big, some of them over logo high and well spaced enou...

Friday 6th December

A fun 3 hours at Hayling from 11 despite the car park being shrunk to half it's size*. Wind almost cross shore with some quite nice waves occasionally. I was about to rig my 3.4 just as everybody came in to change up so went for 4.1 which was fine (wind up and down and gusty and currents having stra...

Re: Saturday 30th Easterly?

Joined Charlie at Highcliffe for a couple of hours of "interesting" sailing (not sure I'd call it fun!). 4.7 & 66L as usual, a bit light on the inside and gusty outside. A bit strange in an easterly having to keep up wind of the scary rock groynes and only having a couple of feet of beach below the ...

I’m down in Cornwall and was thinking of Marazion on Saturday as that is supposed to be good in an easterly?
Mazza can be good in an easterly if there's swell. launch from the east end car park if it's ESE.

Highcliffe, touch x-on port tack in ese. MSW giving 2-4ft (bigger than elsewhere) so bit like this:

Looks like it might be quite fun. Mind you I've probably jinxed it now!

Saturday 30th Easterly?

Can anybody suggest a south coast venue for Saturday? The current forecast is for easterly and I'd go to Hayling but it's high tide at midday which isn't much fun. Anywhere sailable around the Avon area?

Re: Tuesday 26th of November

OK, I'll admit it. One walk of shame at the beginning and a drive of shame at the end. Arrived just as the wind dropped and everybody was changing to bigger sails so I rigged my usual 4.7 & 66L. Planed off the beach got several jumps on the way out and thought "this is fine". Gybed on to a ni...
